Occult book collection

Made to keep track of my sources, mainly just for me to keep things organised, but you can take inspiration or something ofc haha

Here I will write down every philosophical or occult text that I can freely access. Some of them are public domain, probably a lot of them. Some of these text are in Polish only, as far as I'm aware. Sorry for that. #polskagurom tho ✌️

QUITE SIMPLE

Texts that are useful/interesting and are written in a way that I can actually understand.

"Alchemy’s ABCs" - Carole Sedillot. Actually I don't know the English title but it should be something along the lines. When I first bought the book at the age of 16, I weirdly didn't understand a lot of it. I returned to it after a year and it seemed almost too easy to read. Furthermore, the author kept irritating me with her writing style. I don't remember why anymore. Well, despite that I still think that this book has a lot of useful and beginner friendly information in it.

"Astrologia klasyczna" - Sergiej Wroński. Should be in English, but idk cause Google doesn't seem to want to cooperate with me right now. Anyways, I have the 3rd tome, about Houses. It's a very good book, I want to collect all 13 tomes. There are a lot of them... Good. I'm glad I finally found books like this. Actual knowledge, not any of that mainstream watered down bullshit. This guy knew his astrology. No, we will not discuss who he worked for...

The Bible. You can not deny the fact that it's a very important book. I didn't know which section to put it in. It is easy to read, and should be easy to understand, since it's supposed to be an exoteric text... right? Either way, what matters is that I'm able to read it without stopping in the middle of every sentence to google some word's meaning. I truly recommend reading The Bible, even if you're not a Christian. It's just interesting, especially considering the fact that it's the holy book of the world's most "popular" religion.

Eastern Mythologies’ Lexicon. I found one in a thrift store. It's a brick. It's a tiny brick. A brick of the A6 format. I truly love it, though I only read a few pages when looking for something specific. I recommend buying lexicons in general. They're useful, and they're generally not trying to be revolusionary, which makes them more reliable.

"Moc magii astrologicznej na co dzień" - Mirosław Winczewski. The title translates to "The power of astrological magic for every day". It's kinda hard for me to translate the "for every day", cause in Polish it highlights the mundane aspect of the day-to-day, and it doesn't sounds the same way when I translated that. Eh, whatever. I highly doubt that the book has an English translation. And that's kind of a shame! It's not anything revolusionary, it can honestly even be kind of confusing at times, because the author (in my opinion) isn't very good at stating clearly to which tradition he's alluding to (and believe me, he's alluding to quite a few). That's a problem with occult books that are trying to go semi-mainstream. But I truly enjoy this book and I found it very helpful in learning astrology! I just wish Winczewski would be more clear about where he's coming from.

"Słownik symboli" - Władysław Kopaliński. "Dictionary of symbols". EXTREMELY useful. EXTREMELY I tell you! There for sure are different authors writing these kinds of works in different languages.

Various texts on tarot compiled by Donald Tyson in one book with a long title. I literally cannot find the English title anywhere online, what is happening? But yeah, this is very useful since it's a collection of important texts about the cards. It truly covers a lot (I haven't read it all yet).

"The Secret Teachings Of All Ages" - Manly Palmer Hall. It's truly an impressive book. I just started reading it. It is in fact a little difficult, at least for me, since I'm not a native speaker. So yes, I still need to google some words. Despite that, it's pretty easy to read? You know, the vocabulary might be a little challange for me, but the style in which Hall writes is very light and pleasant. At least in my opinion.

MORE DIFFICULT

Most of those texts I got from the Internet, they're old so they're in public domain (thank god!).

"Arbatel". Author unknown. It's a grimoire about "Spirits of Olympus", and it seems to be Christian. In the modern world it would probably be considered a great herecy to even call it Christian. It's a complicated topic to get into, and I'm certainly not an expert, so I won't say a lot before I read more about it. All I know is that the book uses the name of Jesus Christ. Seems pretty Christian to me, even if it's considered a huge sin by Catholicism. I just printed a part of it yesterday and I'm gonna get to reading (I hate reading online, so I always print what I can). It's not a long text so I'll print it all sooner or later, but I read old texts very slowly.

"Liber Hermetis" - Hermes Trismegistus. Book about astrology. I only read two chapters. The content is truly cryptic. When I read it I start wondering if I can even call myself an intermediate occultist, and not a beginner. It did help me a little with writing some predictive horoscopes.

"Enki and Ninmah". Ancient Sumerian text about the creation of mankind. I lost it. I printed it and I lost it, and now I cannot find the text online. Such a shame. It's not that difficult to read, the problem is with the missing or not translated parts.
